Who should Attend

For inexperienced staff entering the rail industry in a supervisory or managerial role.

Objectives

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

• Identify the railway organisations and how they interface with one another
• State examples of Health and Safety roles within the rail industry
• Identify railway documentation and their meanings
• Identify track components, types of infrastructure and signalling systems
• Identify principle examples of rail vehicle types and train classification
• State examples of electrification sources in the rail industry and how they work
• Identify risks associated in the rail industry and how to avoid them
• Identify how engineering works are set up and the roles and responsibilities of the key people involved in them
• Identify examples of signs and features on railway infrastructure

Content

Delegates will be issued with course notes that will be used throughout the training programme, which will include information relating to the subjects covered.
