People required to give hand signals to train drivers which cannot be given by means of fixed signals. This does not include persons required to give hand signals as part of work within the scope of GO/RT3255, Train Working and Competence and Fitness.
On successful completion of the course the delegate will be able to demonstrate their understanding and ability to carry out Hand Signalling Duties correctly, in line with Network Rail Rule Book GO/RT 8000 Series and Network Rail Group Standard GO/RT 3263 Auxiliary Operating Duties.
Tutor led classroom and practical sessions. Theory and practical assessments are included.
On successful completion of this event a certificate will be issued, which will be valid for 2 years. Delegates must be reassessed every 2 years to maintain their competence certification.
