OBJECTIVES
• Understand the role of a supervisor
• Understand the role of legal duties and responsibilities of a supervisor
• Understand the health & safety policy and management system
• Attain a working knowledge of hazards and risks in the workplace
• Understand how to improve communications with the workforce and how to promote a positive health & safety culture
CONTENT
The syllabus is split into 5 modules:
• Learn how the supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining and improving Health and Safety performance in the workforce and workplace
• Identification of common hazards and risks
• Undertake a risk assessment
• Learn how to assess and inspect the workplace and record details
• Learn how to promote safe behaviour
