Course Details

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Staff from any organisation who are required to meet the legal obligations of companies relating to the training of staff with specific health and safety responsibilities. The course concludes with two written examinations (each two hours in duration).

OBJECTIVES
On completion of this programme candidates will be able to:
• Identify common and obvious hazards in the workplace and to recommend suitable remedial actions
• Investigate accidents (including near misses) and make logical, cost effective recommendations to prevent recurrences
• Identify the main items of health and safety legislation that apply to workplaces
• Recognise the human and organisational problems that must be overcome to achieve a safe and healthy environment
• Use information sources to advise managers on health and safety matters.

CONTENT
The course Content follows the NEBOSH syllabus.

LEARNING APPROACH
Multi media presentation supported by interactive lectures and exercises. The training is centered around preparation for the NEBOSH examination.

FEATURES
Each delegate will receive a course manual, which is designed to follow and complement the
NEBOSH syllabus.
NEBOSH is run in 2 x 4 day blocks with one practical test and revision day and one written
examination day.
