Who Should Attend

Any person who currently holds a valid Lookout/Site Warden Certificate and is required to carry out these duties after the expiry of their existing certificate. This re-certification event can be attended up to 2 months before the expiry of the existing certificate and the new certificate will still be valid for 2 years from the actual date of expiry.

Objectives

On successful completion of the course the delegate will be able to:

Carry out the duties of Lookout/Site Warden to the standard of competence in accordance with relevant Railway Group Standards

Content

A course workbook designed to help identify areas requiring some refresher training. This is a training exercise facilitated by a trainer and delegates usually work in pairs, or the interactive board game which is also designed to identify areas requiring refresher training
A trainer led session to refresh areas highlighted by the workbook exercise and interactive board game
Revision Session

Learning Approach

Classroom based exercises and discussion with some trainer led refresher training. Theory assessment is included.

Features

On successful completion of this event an application will be sent to NCCA for a competence certificate valid for 2 years. Delegates must be re-assessed every 2 years to renew their certification.

Special Requirements

Valid PTS and Lookout/Site Warden competence certificate must be presented to the trainer at the start of each event
A Personal Rule Book and/or a Track Safety Handbook should be brought to the event by each delegate
NCCA site ID and address of the sponsoring organisation will be required when booking the event
