The ability to manage the performance of team members is a skill that every manager needs to develop if they want the team and the business to succeed. This course not only considers where, when and how performance should be managed, but also provides techniques to help the manager motivate and monitor team members as well as giving and receiving feedback.
Delegates will learn how to set and monitor targets, how to handle potentially difficult conversations and give and receive constructive feedback when addressing under performance.
The course is highly participative and focuses on how managing performance can enhance skills and job knowledge and improve individual and team performance.
Pre-course, delegates will be asked to identify and note down performance issues to be addressed along with any actions taken (or planned actions) and actual or planned outcomes.
Post-course, delegates will be asked to complete a work- based assignment on a specific performance management issue.
