WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Delegates should have basic jointing skills and are required to work on fibre optic telecommunications cables.

OBJECTIVES
On successful completion of the event the delegate will be able to correctly:
• Joint a fibre optic cable using the fusion splicing method
• Joint a fibre optic cable using organization system

• Fiber splicing using a variety of fusion splicing machines

• Introduction to fibre optic testing

LEARNING APPROACH
Theoretical sessions are carried out in the classroom reinforced by practical work using a variety of tools and jointing materials.  Continuous practical assessment.

FEATURES
An introduction to the fibre optic industry, the course details the principles of fibre optics, available equipment and the current fibre splicing and fibre testing techniques.  Competent staff will be able to repair faulty fibres quickly so reducing downtime.
