WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Delegates whose work involves the maintenance and fault finding of H.P.S.S point layouts. Ideally delegates should have a basic understanding of the principles of power operated points and/ or have some practical fault finding and maintenance experience.

OBJECTIVES
On successful completion of the course the delegate will be able to:
• Perform service A and service B maintenance correctly to Network Rails Signalling Maintenance
• Perform facing point lock and detection testing to Network Rails Signalling Maintenance Specifications.
• Manually operate the H.P.S.A in line with the manufacturer’s operations and maintenance manual
• Fault find H.P.S.S to component level
• Replace faulty components in line with the OAM Manual

LEARNING APPROACH
Classroom theory sessions using Power Point, working models and practical demonstration. 80% of the course time will be made up of practical activities.
Practical assessments are used to test the course objectives.
The simulated environment allows activities to be conducted under controlled conditions in a safe and comfortable environment.
