OBJECTIVES
On successful completion of the course the delegate will be able to correctly:
• State their responsibilities for personal track safety when on or near the line
• Demonstrate these responsibilities when carrying out duties on or near the line

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Any person aged 18 or over who is required to carry out duties on or near a railway line in a depot environment and does not currently hold a valid Personal Track Safety Certificate.

• AC electrified lines
• Dangers on or near the line
• DC electrified lines
• Working on or near the line
• Track visit
• Emergency action

LEARNING APPROACH
Instructor led classroom and practical sessions including a site visit.
Theory and practical assessments are included.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
• A valid medical certificate that meets the requirements of Railway Group Standard GO/RT 3353.
• A Valid Drugs and Alcohol Screening indicating a negative result.
• A high visibility vest, suitable outdoor clothing and safety footwear is required on this event.
