WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course is aimed at delegates whose work involves the programming or maintenance of PLC controlled automation systems.  The course can be taught on most PLC systems and is an introductory level assuming no previous knowledge.

OBJECTIVES
At the end of the course, the delegate will be able to program a range of simple functions and interrogate the chosen PLC system.

CONTENT
This course is highly practical in nature and all assessments are carried out on the chosen PLC and components, it assumes no previous knowledge and covers the listed elements:
• PLC compared to hard wiring systems
• Architecture, number systems and application of PLC
• Programming techniques and ladder logic
• Connecting external components, inputs, outputs, and their selection.
• Timers, counters and registers
• Projects and implementing using the PLC and PLC software
• Monitoring the PLC and forcing contacts for testing
• Major programming exercise for conveyor control

LEARNING APPROACH
Classroom sessions, demonstrations and presentations, with hands on PLC system programming.

FEATURES
This course covers the use of the PLC and its programming as well as how to use the PLC for diagnostics and maintenance.  We can deliver training on Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, Siemens S5 and Omron technology.
