WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Delegates who are required to commission on track equipment. Ideally delegates will have successfully completed Module 3C (Verification Tester) and be familiar with signalling equipment.

OBJECTIVES
• Verification testing of points, track circuits, signals, AWS and associated equipment
• Function testing of points, track circuits, signals, AWS and associated equipment
• Integration testing of points, track circuits, signals, AWS and associated equipment

CONTENT
• Preparing to perform testing of points, TC’s, signals and AWS
• Verification testing of the installation of points, TC’s, signals and AWS
• Wire counting
• Verification that the installation is in accordance with the plans/diagrams
• Verification that the equipment is adjusted to the correct operational parameters
• Functional testing of the correspondence of local controls/function and detection
• Functional testing correspondence from the control center/local control/function/detection/indication
• Recording of the test results
• Reporting of irregularities found

LEARNING APPROACH
Classroom sessions, practical demonstrations and practical exercises. Individual practical based assessment is included.
