WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Delegates who are required to undertake the role of Test Assistant. Delegates must be familiar with signalling equipment, signalling symbols and signalling installation practices.

OBJECTIVES
• Assist with the testing of trackside and on track equipment
• Operate a test desk
• Undertake inspection and counting of wires
• Use straps and apply false-feeds in a safe manner under a testers guidance
• Use an SSI Interrogator & Generator under a testers guidance
• Assist with the testing of panels

• Assisting during track circuit testing
• Assisting during points testing
• Assisting during signal testing
• Correct use of test equipment
• Inspection/wire count reporting
• Using straps, false-feeds and SSI interrogator/generator

• Assisting during panel testing
• Assisting during cable testing

LEARNING APPROACH
Classroom sessions, instructional demonstrations and practical exercises. Individual practical based assessments included.
