WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Delegates who are required to operate a range of powered drilling machines.

OBJECTIVES
On completion of the course delegates will be able to:
• Undertake inspection and pre-start checks of a powered drilling machine
• Perform starting and stopping procedures
• Demonstrate the safe use of machines
• State how to deal with defective equipment
• State the safety requirements for refuelling of a rail drill

• Abtus rail drill
• Battery drill
• Electric drill
• Dealing with defective equipment
• Safe re-fuelling on petrol driven equipment

LEARNING APPROACH
Classroom session with demonstrations and practical exercises. Individual practical and theory based assessments taken on completion of course.
