WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course is for competent works testers of complex alterations to wiring and to trackside signalling equipment (Mod 3B(L) & 4), to provide the additional knowledge and skills required for the works testing of TPWS installations.

OBJECTIVES
On completion of the course, candidates will be able to:
• Explain the operation of a TPWS system
• Identify application of standard TPWS design details
• Identify correct positioning for TPWS transmitter loops
• Use specified test equipment, and instruct test assistants, to obtain measurements
• Perform TPWS system tests in accordance with standards
• Perform principles testing associated with cutting of TPWS into controls of signal in rear
• Complete compliance documentation and records

LEARNING APPROACH
Classroom sessions with approximately 70% practical work.
