WHO SHOULD ATTEND
All employees required to work at heights.  It is all now managed by, planning, organising, inspecting and training in-line with approved task risk assessments.

OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
• Explain the requirements of the Working at Height Regulations 2005
• Address working at height risks to reduce risks by design
• Ensure that all work at height is properly planned and organised
• Ensure that those involved in work at height are competent
• Carryout pre- use checks of all equipment that is to be used for working at height
• Explain the risks of working at height when working with fragile surfaces
• Undertake working at heights using a harness and lanyard

CONTENT
Delegates will be issued with course notes that will be used throughout the training programme, which will include information relating to the arrangements of the new regulations, the 8 schedules and the three cardinal rules for working at height; this will be supported by practical activities.

LEARNING APPROACH
The theory part of the training will be delivered in a classroom environment, which will be tutor lead, with support of a PowerPoint presentation, video and open discussion, followed by a practical session of using harnesses and lanyards, making the training, 60% Theory and 40% practical.
