Signal Works Testing Module 3B (L) Functional Testing of Signalling Systems in ‘Locations’

Who Should Attend

Testing engineers who will lead testing activities. Ideally delegates will have successfully completed Module 3C Preparation of Testing and have a comprehensive understanding of wiring diagrams.

Objectives

•  Lead a testing team in the functional testing of a ‘location'
•  Oversee and test an alteration to an existing installation
•  Determine the extent of testing required following a modification

Content

•  Preparing to perform testing
•  Power supplies
•  Circuit function testing of ‘location' circuits
•  Strap and function testing of ‘location' circuits
•  Changeovers and associated testing
•  TFM exercise tests
•  Through circuit testing (not SSI)
•  Recording of the test results
•  Reporting of irregularities found
